For those who are familiar and love Gantt, you will adore what GanttPRO offer. A cloud version of a strong project approach!

GanttPRO is an online task and project management Gantt chart application. This project management software is easy to understand and use, making it ideal for small organisations or teams. It allows you to keep track of your spending. A standard Gantt Chart graph plots all of the tasks that make up a project on a timetable.

One advantage of GanttPRO is that it provides project managers or leaders with a comprehensive picture of tasks, deadlines, and resources all at once, allowing them to manage resources more effectively.

There are new features and upgrades continually coming out. But this might hold you back if you need features now.

If there was one thing we would point out. Where Asana is a modern feeling work management system with portfolios and projects.

GanttPRO feels more traditional, like MS Project. This will be a big plus for some. For other users, a simpler approach like Trello for example is sometimes all that teams need.

For students, we would say GanttPRO is a tool that is perfect for learning and will help you to understand the basics and even more so, the complexities of project management. The art of managing timelines, tasks, projects, portfolios and more.

The only downside to this is we know students often learn through practical work experience, so possibly using GanttPRO as a tool to manage your own little project of painting your room, building a desk, making a new website or launching a YouTube channel.

The integration on GanttPRO is very light, and as of now the integration with Zapier is still underway. The API is still in a public beta. And the market is quickly becoming saturated with smart work management tools. It is however promising to see the API, as we use this to gauge the development capability of solution providers.

The project import tool is also very useful, and we were able to import a detailed MPP file from MS Project and had no issues. They also support importing from Jira as well.

Ultimately the decision will come down to what you need for the price.

Compared to MS Project, this is cheaper if you compare it to Project Plan 3 or Project Plan 5. It works online and delivers 80% of what the majority of project managers need to manage a project. We do see that when organisations go down the path of integration and smart connecting, often this can lead to overly complex systems.
So with GanttPRO, there is no option to get overly complex, and your time can be more focused on simply managing a project and meeting deadlines.

With all things considered, we do recommend GanttPRO to customers who need a lightweight, affordable solution to manage projects online and don’t need all the fancy connections and features.
